The Mondial de l'Automobile - Paris 2008

One of the big car event this year in France, the International motorcar show of Paris : the Mondial de l'Automobile. It's not really one of my prefered event because there is always too many people and not so many interesting things to see, unless you like diesel monospace or electric microcar...
However this year, some specials news were presented to the public and in particular, the tremendous future 4 doors Lamborghini, the prototype Estoque. The pictures I had seen before were not sensational in my opinion, but in real, the car is really a heartbreaker, with charismatic volumes and aggressive edges. It will be an hallucination to see it in front of a Palace, in a street. My second favorite is the new Lotus Evora, with a very feminine body shape... I hope the production model will be the most similar possible with the prototype.
The most mediatic presentation of this Mondial is probably the Ferrari California, the new coupe convertible from Maranello. I'm not really in love with this model, whatever the color... perhaps I will need time to appreciate it, as usual with the 21st century Ferrari models.

Finally, considering the concept cars, many interesting things this year, particularly in the French manufacturers, like the Peugeot RC Motion 4, the Renault Megane Trophy (what a beast!) and the two succeeded Citroen concepts : Hypnos and the crazy GT.
