The Paris Car Week kicks off this year in a new format (two auto shows and five auctions) with quite a few changes, starting with Artcurial, which is no longer the official auctioneer for the Rétromobile show, a role now given to Gooding & Co. This reorganization means that the Parisian auction house has a new location, moving to the palace on Avenue Kléber, the Peninsula.
For the occasion, the palace's underground parking lot was temporarily converted to accommodate the cars for sale. Featured items included Jean Alesi's Ferrari F1 F92A, a Lamborghini Miura P400, an astonishing Mercedes 300SL Gullwing in its original condition, a factory-original Bugatti T51, and a factory-original Talbot Lago single-seater. Other notable lots include a Bizzarrini 5300 GT Strada, a De Tomaso Mangusta, an Aston Martin Lagonda Series 4, and an Aston Martin Virage Volante.
