The Bugatti EB110 GT chassis GT046 was ordered new in Germany via the Bugatti importer Auto König, in Berlin. Bugatti documents suggest that the car was initially ordered in Rosso Scuro (with a standard dual tone greys interior), but this has not been confirmed so far. In any case, it was repainted later in Grigio Chiaro. The car was then exported to the USA and was homologated by an individual procedure, leading to a modification of its chassis number. The GT046 was offered in auction at Gooding & Company where it was sold to the Petersen Museum.
