The Bugatti EB110 GT chassis GT053 was ordered in Blu Bugatti with the standard dual tone grey leather, via the Bugatti importer for Middle East, German Cars Co. It was the first EB110 using a specific chassis number for this market. Intended for a country with extreme temperatures, this EB110 was probably used by the Bugatti development teams to improve the cooling system, a weakness of the EB110 already identified in normal conditions. The GT053 seems to feature a new cooling system, with an additional radiator at the rear, requiring changes to the rear bumper design. This technical modification will then be applied to the production later. After testing in Dubai, the GT053 was on display at the 1993 Dubai Motorshow in Jeddah. The GT053 was then fitted with Supersport rims and later, licensed in UK and sold to the sportcar dealer Pullicino's Classics. In 2005, the car was offered in auction at Coys in London.
