The
EB110 Supersport (called Sport Stradale in some Bugatti
adverts) is the more radical version of the EB110: lightening of
the total weight, 610 bhp engine and ultra sporting definition of
the chassis and suspensions. Exterior details are specific to the
Supersport version : fixed air wing (inclination manually adjustable),
5 lateral air inlet holes instead of the lateral window (first prototypes
with 7 holes), Type 55's style rims, brake cooling aeration located
behind front wheels, more agressive front bumper with an aerodynamic
blade its the basis. The interior is lightened too with a simplified
transmission tunnel and doors, 2 Recaro seats, manual windows...etc.
A special engine evolution of the SS have been proposed, the "Le
Mans" specifications : 700 bhp, cockpit controlled adjustable
boost system. It seems that only 3 models were
fitted with this option, probably in after sales.
The EB110 SS production period was really short due to a long set
up time and the bankruptcy from the late 1993 to the mid 1995
years. The SS number is around 30 models (unofficially 31, 33 listed
in the registry). |
