The Aston Martin DB6 Volante Short Wheel Base

In 1965, Aston Martin has introduced the new DB6, a 4 seats car permited by a chassis 9 cm longer than the DB5's base. However, the convertible version of this new DB6 (called for the first time Volante) has used, during the first year of production, the short wheel base of the old DB5 Convertible. This hybrid version is recognizable by its front face of DB6 (2 parts front bumpers), its DB5's boot and wings and its back lights of... DB4 GT! An original mix for a highly collectible cars : 37 exemplaries (and only 2 with Vantage specifications).
