Note : A very particular car because historically, it's probably the really first EB110 Supersport ever produced (the 39008 car is based on a GT chassis and the SS39001, SS39002 and SS39003 cars were produced after this model).
In my opinion, this car was used by Bugatti to develop the Supersport evolution and was often seen on tracks with 39008. This early origin explain some details typical from SS prototypes : GT spoiler, lateral plate with 9 holes, the same than 39008. On the plate located in the driver door, concerning the first owner, the engine number is the 42. This number is quite high for a developmental car so it is possible that a new engine had been installed in the SS39004 car, as well a complete refurbishment, before the sale to the first owner.

Seen at the 2010 Bugatti brunch, without the lateral plate with 2 holes. The center of rims were painted in black.
