The Bugatti EB110 Supersport chassis SS06, internally called S6, was one of the 5 prototypes used for the development of the Super Sport version. This prototype was mainly affected to body development. For part of its career, it was used for non-destructive certification testing, without being powered. Motorization came later, as did installation of the running gear, in 2 or 4-wheel drive depending on configuration. The S6 prototype was also used in the development of the America version of the EB110, featuring a connected tank system with a single driver-side tank filler.
There are no documents to show that the vehicle was completed (bodywork, interior) during the factory's lifetime. The running chassis (or the complete car) was sold in Italy when the factory's assets were liquidated. The car was then modified at Dauer, before joining a private collection in the Netherlands. The S6 prototype is now in the USA. |
