The GT020 is a also a demonstration car from the factory, first finished in Nero Metal with a standard interior. It was potentialy used for demonstration for the Swiss market. Around 1995 and 1997, the car was resprayed in Grigio Chiaro and the engine was swapped. The car was licensed in Luxembourg, perhaps recovered by JM Borel and Bugatti International after the bankruptcy of the factory. In 2001, the car was exported to the Netherlands (Mike Dawud's private collection) and 3 years later, the GT022 was offered for sale during a Bonhams auction (unsold), then at Coys in Monaco (unsold) and finally sold at Bonhams "Les Grandes Marques" in Monaco in 2007. After being on sale in Dubai, the GT022 went to the USA.
