A day in Maranello (Italy), May 2006
May 2006 : It's 12 o'clock AM and a little town near Modena is turning red. We just arrive in Maranello and it's the lunch time for Ferrari's men, a red crew is walking in every directions in the town's heart. The Ferrari mana is already working...
Our first visit is the Ferrari test track, the famous " Pista di Fiorano". Some F430 upgraded for the track are running...

Now, it's time for us to lunch, and we choose a symbolic place : the well known "Ristorante", located in front of the factory. A very nice place where you can find fine italian food and wine, with the impression to eat with the Commendatore himself.
Let's go back to the visit of Maranello, with the Ferrari museum : the Galleria. Thirty Ferraris, from the past to the future, are exposed in a modern structure. Interesting but too light for a well documented car enthusiast... and even more considering the expensive price of the entrance ticket.

Some others "hot spots" have to be seen in Maranello, for example the Carrozzeria Zanasi, a repair shop located near the Fiorano track.
A pearl white 575 Superamerica and a wonderful black surprise are waiting for us...

And it's not finish for the (good) surprises... last stop at "Tony Auto", an another shop specialized in italian sport cars.
"Ohh! what's that? Oh my god..."
Not so many Ferraris are running through the streets of Maranello, a lot of cars are driving inside the factory but not many outside. Before arriving in Maranello, I've said that it would be great to see a yellow 599 GTB Fiorano... perhaps am I a lucky guy? |
We have to leave Maranello, after this very nice day, in order to go to Modena and then, to another well known little town, Santa Agatha Bolognese.
It will be the next update, be patient!
