The Concorso d'Eleganza, Villa d'Este (Italia)

First visit to Cernobbio, a little italian town typical from the lake Como area. Beyond its tourism aspect, this city is also renowned for its high place in the Automobile World, with the Concorso d'Eleganza of Villa d'Este.
Villa d'Este and Villa Erba are perfect places to expose historic and highly collectibles cars, by the majesty of the area and the beautiful scenery. However, the thing the most impressive is the incredible level of the cars presented for the concorso. The contest is divided into 9 classes,corresponding to various themes and times : Gracefull open air style, Interpretations of Elegance, The Art of Streamlining, Little Jewels, Stars of the Rock 'N' Roll era, The Ferrari 250 Dynasty, La Dolce Vita, Gentleman's Sports cars, Heroes of Le Mans and at last, a standout class with the prototypes and concept cars.

After the exhibition and the parade in Villa d’Este and in Villa Erba, one car has won all the votes : the wonderful 1933 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Coupé by Figoni, which has been acclaimed for the Best of Show by Public Referendum at Villa d’Este, the Best in Show by the jury and by public referendum at Villa Erba.
