The Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance (Windsor, UK)

The Windsor Castle Concours of Elegance is an event forming part of the Diamond Jubilee's celebrations, that marks the 60 years of The Queen’s reign. Sixty of the rarest motor cars in the world were exhibited within the walls of Windsor Castle, from pioneering horseless carriages to the birth of the supercar in the late 60's.
The amount of legendary cars was absolutely unbelievable : 1935 Avions Voisin C-25 Berline Aérodyne, 1931 Bugatti Type 41 Royale Kellner Coupé, 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500k Special Roadster, 1953 Maserati A6GCS Pinin Farina Berlinetta, 1956 Ferrari 250GT Zagato Berlinetta, 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa TR58 Scaglietti, 1959 Maserati Tipo 60 Birdcage, 1957 Jaguar XKSS, 1963 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato Berlinetta or 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO for example.




In the middle of the exhibition area, a special place was reserved for an interesting selectionl of cars owned by the Royal family : Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Volante, Alvis TD 21 and two Rolls-Royce modified for the Queen Elisabeth, a Pantom IV and a Phantom VI.
