- Le Vendôme 80 - Who hasn't dreamed of a rally with all the offbeat car stars of the 80s/90s? The time when the Vector W8, Lamborghini Countach or Isdera Imperator made the front page of magazines, while remaining out of reach of spotters in short pants. It finally took 30 years for this rally to exist with the "Vendôme 80", with the theme of reviving the slightly crazy spirit of the 80s, and parading the most exclusive cars of the time. And so it was at the Château de Valençay, near Tours in France, that I was able to meet for the first time this American icon that is the Vector W8 Twin Turbo, finally ! Same emotion when seeing the Isdera Imperator, a model produced in about 30 units, including a handful of series 2. All this without counting a BMW M1, two Lamborghini Countach, a Ferrari F40 or an Audi Quattro Sport... with crews playing the game of the pop culture of the time: Maverick, Magnum, jogging with flashy colors. One of the highlights of the last few years, for sure!

'Back to the future' mode : The 'Vendôme 80' is one of the best atmosphere rally in a long time, where participants have fun rather than trying to impress the gallery. Crazy looks, smiles, the most exclusive cars, in a bucolic setting. Perfect recipe, do not change anything.
