- Bonhams Les Grandes Marques Paris 2022 -
Les Grandes Marques du Monde in Paris is the sale organized by Bonhams, at the Grand Palais Ephémère near the Eiffel Tower, instead of the usual Grand Palais. For a lover of exoticism and rarity, no need to look too long to identify the highlight of the sale. Seven examples in the world but only one visible on the whole planet (the other 6 being kept in the extravagant collection of the Sultanate of Brunei), the Aston Martin Virage 5 doors Shooting Brake 'Vacances' is as crazy as its name is kitsch. Built by Aston Works on the basis of a Virage Coupe, it is lengthened by 30 cm, transformed into a station wagon, equipped with 5 doors and converted into a 6.3L. This sale was particularly well represented in Aston Martins from the post 80s: V8 Saloon and Volante, several Virage, Virage Volante, Vantage V550, V8 Coupe 5.3, Vanquish... Among the other stars of the Bonhams sale, there was once again a Bugatti EB110 GT, as well as a Ferrari La Ferrari, a Jaguar XJ220 and a Porsche 904 GTS. Among the classics, the sumptuous Mercedes 380K cabriolet A as well as the 3 Bugatti Type 57s, the Facel Vega Facel II and a rare Rolls-Royce Phantom VI.
