The first motorized chassis (ZA9CC030E0PCD39001) was built in late 1992/early 1993 in the Moncalieri Ital Design office. The carbon chassis was dressed with an aluminium body shape, formed on place by specialized craftsmen.
The EB112 #39001 was finished on time for the official presentation at the 1993 Geneva Motorshow, fitted with its central front position atmospheric V12 6,0L 60 valves that develop 460 ch at 6300 rpm, with a torque of 590 nm at 3000 rpm. The welcome was unanimous by journalists and public.

During the summer 1993, the car was shipped to Japan for the special ceremony, held to celebrate the presentation of the EB110. The EB112 #39001 was exhibited at the Ark Hills, in Tokyo and was used for a Car graphic special movie.
October 1993 : #39001 was exhibited at the Frankfurt Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA, Germany), with an EB110 GT and a prototype of the Supersport evolution. The car was presented in many newspaper articles.
1994 : the car was under development and was not exhibited during 1994 motorcar shows. However #39001 was though used for the F1 GP of Monaco, in may 1994.
14 september, 1995 : Nine days before the official announcement of the bankruptcy, the EB112 is exhibited at the Frankfurt IAA Motorshow.
1997 : After the bankruptcy, an auction is organized in Campogalliano in order to close out the factory, with all parts, machine-tools, stocks and cars. Gildo Pastor Pallanca bought part of the stock of parts, to continue the Monaco Racing Team competition program. He also bought the prototype EB112 #39001 (co-owned with Giugiaro) and the 4 unfinished EB112 chassis, still under construction.
The car will then participate in different events, with a Monegasque temporary plate (W077) when the car was under the supervision of the MRT (for example in 1998, during the Défilé du Siècle, in Paris) , and the Ital Design plate when it is under the Giugiaro use.
2016 : The EB112 chassis #39001 is definitely owned by Ital Design and is stored in the Moncalieri show room.
